Inul Daratista’s husband, Adam Suseno, has been hospitalized for five days as of Thursday, June 26, 2025. Adam injured his foot in the blood vessels area while cleaning the fish pond at their home. Blood vessels are part of the human circulatory system. According to Inul Daratista’s Instagram @inul.d, she shared the news of her husband’s injury to a major blood vessel in his foot.
What are Blood Vessels?
Quoted from the Cleveland Clinic, blood vessels are channels that function to carry blood throughout the body. Blood vessels form a closed circulation system that starts and ends in the heart. Together with the heart, blood vessels form a vital circulatory system.
Blood vessels reach every part of the human body. Branches of large blood vessels narrow down to reach every organ. There are billions of blood vessels in the body mostly consisting of capillaries, venules, and arterioles. These small blood vessels are connected to arteries and veins.
The most important blood vessel in the human body is the main artery known as the aorta. The aorta is a large artery that carries blood from the heart and delivers oxygen-rich blood to the entire body. The aorta flows down through the chest, diaphragm, and abdomen, branching out in various parts. Near the pelvis, the aorta divides into two arteries that supply blood to the lower body and legs.
The main vein in the human body is the vena cava. The superior vena cava is located in the upper right side of the chest and functions to carry blood from the head, neck, arms, and chest back to the heart. The inferior vena cava is located near the right side of the diaphragm, returning blood from the legs, feet, abdomen, and pelvis back to the heart.
Adam Suseno’s condition reminds us of the importance of blood vessels and the critical role they play in our bodies. It serves as a reminder to take care of our health and be cautious while performing daily activities.
